New York’s dwellers had no alternative for phoning twenty years back. Whenever anyone shifted to new house or abode, had to contact Bell for getting a landline phone deployed at the location. People did not have any packages, they just had one facility called ‘landline’, which was used to make calls locally or internationally. Today the customers are swathed with a number of options available to choose from.

The time when the telecom organizations deregulated, this scenario gave room to phone companies offering long distance callings with reasonable charges. When cellular phones and various calling features took birth, the rates of calling dropped further. Today customers have option of paying when a call is made and above no per month requirement is included in this package. 20 years back, everyone used to wait for clock to hit 7 p.m. so that they could make long distance calls to avoid big charges.

There is no doubt in saying that the mobile phone allowed the users to freely talk to each other and select various packages and services available. New York is the city that carries mobile phones in big quantity than the rest of the cities of the U.S. People planed to go for the cellulars than landlines.

Voice over Internet protocol got explored two decades back and now is rated as the speedily increasing technology and the phone of future. A VoIP service has so many benefits for the business as well as common people like using Internet for making calls, placing free calls in the same system, economical rates and many others.

As we are advancing towards more progressive times, science and technology are introducing latest innovations improving our life in all ways. Speaking of which, the telecommunications industry has paced up in bringing better mediums for communications. Take for example, Call management software. After internet phones, the second best thing invented in the field of communication is call management software. As the name indicates, call management software helps to manage your phone calls and serves as the best means to enhance customer services and your company’s communication needs by mechanizing your office tasks, including taking over customer services responsibilities. It involves functions such as automatic dialing, voice recording, other help desk solutions and many other useful features.

Today, call management software has become an important tool for automating communications across and is being actively used in various organizations, outsourcing offices and call centers and this number of users is on the rise. The latest innovations being carried out in the field of telecommunications have paved a concrete way for effortless and convenient communication means. Today, with the help of call management software, many large companies are outsourcing agencies and call centers have been able to manage their phone calls and note down customer complains, queries or suggestions, without missing out on any.

That is exactly what call management software can benefit you with, I believe, it can do wonders. With call management systems, you can easily enumerate your received calls with types. Since, you may receive a number of calls on daily basis, it isn’t easy to manage each call efficiently, especially if your employees are not trained for taking so many calls. So, what comes to your mind for avoiding any unwanted problems to encounter? If you want to continue attending to your voip calls and not facing any jagged situation, then your call management software can ease much of your call management tensions. It simplifies much of your call center management needs. For example it gives you significant information about your voip calls, time made, duration of all, the busiest hour of the day, number of staff people to be present at duty and their duty timings, which days and total days in a month etc. It also helps you in easily keeping a record of which employees handle the most number of calls so you can give them a bonus or high rise and set an example for others to learn from. This way you can select your best people and choose them to train the rather weaker ones or new ones at the job.

With a call center management service, you can successfully save much on the management costs, which are otherwise spent on tele-operators, plus the biggest benefit it gives is the convenience. If you start using a call center management service especially with internet phones around, you can save considerable not only with your voip calls, but also with the management and administration costs and in no time, you will make your business move up towards a higher scale.

To purchase the software, you can easily get them online. Yes, that’s the best part. Now you have the facility to access these software-selling companies through the internet to buy the product directly and conveniently. Although, do check for the different types of communication software available in the market. There is a type, which is an in-house call management software system which gives an organization complete authority over its customer service department and other communication needs. Outsourcing services have now become very affordable and make up for great savings since it is less expensive and boosts productivity output and efficiency within your association.

Whether you choose an in-house solution or outsource your telecommunication needs, what matters is you choose the best telecommunication solution for your organization, which is ideal for your working environment.

Fortunately, most VoIP hardware providers are working double time in order to come up with systems that include power backup to pacify this problem.
Another major concern among consumers is that not all current VoIP service providers offer full, 24-7 emergency 911 service. For example, an emergency call after working hours in Florida might be routed to Idaho. But this is soon to change as well. How you ask?
Well, the Federal Communications Commission has issued a directive to all phone service providers to have e911 service as a standard feature. Simply put, all VoIP providers must automatically offer e911 services to all their customers. So you do not have to go to the hassle of requesting for this service. Furthermore, e911 is a mandatory feature thus customers cannot opt out of this service.
Ones the issues are finally laid to rest then there is no doubt that residential VoIP would prove to be a menacing competitor to landline’s local phone companies. After overcoming the last set of obstacles in the residential area and with the irresistible lure of major savings on long distance calls, consumers are bound to take stock. As one resident and another make switch to VoIP, this will signal that VoIP is indeed the hope that the telecommunications is looking for.

Voice-over-Internet protocol or VoIP has been hyped for a couple of years now. After all, the world market has long been parched for a service that could marry voice, video and data all in one network with the hope of alleviating the woes that plague the telecommunication industry from the onset of the new millennium.
Of course, from the day VoIP was launched into the market large businesses immediately jumped into the bandwagon. In this economically challenge times, who could possibly resist the minimum 50-percent savings on phone bills?
However, with more than hundreds of companies competing for VoIP business, decreasing prices and ominous regulatory pressures, the miracle VoIP promises could possibly turn into a financial train wreck. It’s ironic how VoIP could very well deliver the deathblow to the industry that it’s supposed to resuscitate in the first place.
If you take the time to calculate the balance of line losses, you’ll know that VoIP is actually more of a challenged than an opportunity. The services offered by VoIP vary from a simple phone service to a collection of high-tech applications that can be incorporated to your computer systems. Needless to say the prices also varies; from virtually no cost to a $150 per month for each work station.

Remember the SkypeOut hack we wrote about before? It basically involves calling a 1-800 toll-free number to connect to a directory service that then connects your after giving you the listed number. Well, it used to work on non-VoIP solutions. Hence, callers from other countries could also call the toll-free number at no cost from their landlines and mobile phones, as with other 1-800 numbers.

However, some telcos seem to have discovered that their users were bypassing their international gateway facilities and are able to call the US for free. So the 1-800-3733-411 (which stands for FREE-411) number was blocked!

That’s what’s great about VoIP. If you’re using your own telecom solutions, you’re not subject to the restrictions that telcecom companies impose on their subscribers. You even get freedom of mobility, as you can bring along your “telephone” with you wherever you go, as long as you have a decent Internet connection. Whether you stay at a hotel, a different office, or even when on the road (through WiFi), you can stay connected. It’s almost as good as having a mobile phone from which you can make free calls. Pretty soon, VoIP phones will be mobile phones in themselves, with VoWiFi!

ordan Telecom recently announced that it has successfully its commercial VOIPoDSL service called Livebox. This new project will provide the company’s residential DSL customers affordable, high quality double play (voice and data) service.
// ]]>
Alcatel, as part of its partnership with Jordan Telecom, integrated and deployed the solution within the timetable set for the project. It was also responsible for the systems integration for the project. This includes the Netcentrex application components.

Jordan Telecom chose to partner with Alcatel because it believes that in order to maintain a strong competitive edge and provide high quality services, it should have the support of a world-class supplier with a proven leadership position in the area of VoIP.

Jordan Telecom is the first telecoms operator in the Middle East to commercially launch a double play service over broadband. It is the company’s future plans to eventually launch a triple play (voice, data, and video) service in order to keep abreast with developments in Europe and in the United States. The overall quality of the services that will be offered by Jordan Telecom promises to be significantly higher than those available service offerings that are currently available on the internet.

The system being employed by Jordan Telecom will use technologies developed by Netcentrex, most especially is market leading VoIP and triple play-ready application server called MyCall. This product was used in conjunction with Alcatel’s solution to enable the final rollout of the Livebox product.

A VoIP service in the middle east is highly welcome because of the large concentration of expatriates living and working in the area. The service would now give these people a more affordable alternative to calling their families, loved ones and children.
