The Benefits of Adding VoIP (part 3)

April 6th, 2006 · No Comments

Another advantage to adding VoIP, is that it offers users the option to choose their own area codes. This is a great option for those people whose friends and family live in one particular location, even if they are from a different state. By choosing your family and friends area code, they can call you whenever they like. But most importantly, they will not have to pay long distance charges since their calls will be considered local because you have the same area code. There are some providers who even extend the area codes to other countries. This would definitely prove beneficial to those with friends and family halfway across the world.

The last and perhaps the most significant benefit to adding VoIP is that it’s features are for free. Features usually mean additional expenses with the traditional telephony, but not so with VoIP. VoIP offers a lot of additional features without extra charges. The most common feature is the unlimited call plans. Meanwhile other features include Voice Mail, Call Forwarding, Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Return, Call Block, Do Not Disturb. Due to the collaboration between VoIP and the Internet, a lot of service providers allow you to access and control all of your VoIP phone features through the Internet. With VoIP, users have greater access to control all of their phone features as well as save on charges.

After hearing this list of benefits, would you still want to be left behind?
